The apparence of the "Table Centre displayed by Blanco is a very striking. It represents a city one half of wich is in ruins and the other intact, as if to show the two faces, ancient and modern, of the same city, the paast and the present in a mirror.
The table centre is made up of a number of objects, each of which is interesting even by itself; they represent archways, cloisters, obelisks, columns and staircases. The city is completely surrounded by trays of white travertine as if they were a moat. The colour combinations of the various travertine pieces are well chosen.
