Now they are matching themselves up against the oldest and most calssical of materials.
For the creation of this indoor fountain, in the style of the old fountains in courtyards and in mansions, Paolo Portoghesi has chosen travertine, the most Roman of stones and the one most charateristic of the city's history. From the many types of travertine, Portoghesi has chosen the light one as if to symbolize the parallel between the purity of the water and the material which holds it.
This fountain is composed of a vertical central element, shaped like a star, forming a base for the four basins aranged symmetrically around it and acting as a support at the top, decorated with other elements where the water gushes forth.
